Statute overview

About this statute

This section says the law applies to certain temporary procedures used when granting support under several specified laws, because of exceptional circumstances caused by the covid-19 epidemic. The Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment may, on application, extend certain support implementation deadlines by up to one year if COVID-19-related exceptional circumstances require it. The Finnish Forest Centre may also grant up to one year of extra time for certain supported forestry works on application. The Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment may pay support in one or more instalments, despite the referenced rules on the maximum number of payment instalments. The center may pay support in advance for company investment projects if this is justified by the recipient’s position and the implementation of the supported measure. This section says the law starts on 4 May 2020 and stops applying at the end of 2020.
