Statute overview

About this statute

When planning, organizing, or deciding on education for students under 18, the child’s best interests must be taken into primary account. The student must do their duties conscientiously and correctly, and must not bully or discriminate or endanger others’ safety or health. Lärare eller rektor ska informera vårdnadshavare eller annan laglig företrädare när de får kännedom om trakasserier, mobbning, diskriminering eller våld som skett i studiemiljön eller på skolvägen. Students who disrupt teaching, break order, or cheat may receive a written warning, and more serious or repeated misconduct can lead to temporary suspension and removal from dormitory housing. Before certain disciplinary decisions, the reason must be specified, the student heard, and needed evidence obtained; guardians must be heard or notified, and some decisions must be recorded.
