Lag om ändring av familjevårdslagen

Family care means care or other support for a person part-time or around the clock in the family carer's private home or in the care recipient's home. The welfare area must enter into a service contract with the family carer or an agreement for arranging family care with a private family care provider.

About this statute

Family care means care or other support for a person part-time or around the clock in the family carer's private home or in the care recipient's home. The welfare area must enter into a service contract with the family carer or an agreement for arranging family care with a private family care provider. A family caregiver and the welfare area must agree in the service contract on their cooperation. The welfare area and the private family care provider must agree on matters in the family care agreement. If a family foster home or the care there is found unsuitable or deficient, the responsible welfare area must try to fix the deficiency. If it is not fixed in time, or cannot be fixed without unreasonable trouble or within a reasonable time, the contract may be terminated immediately. Välfärdsområdet ska ordna möjlighet för familjevårdaren att ha ledigt, normalt två dygn per kalendermånad om kravet på minst 14 arbetade dygn är uppfyllt, om inte annat avtalats.
