Statute overview

About this statute

A person who wants to join an association must notify the association. The board decides on member approval unless the statutes provide otherwise. A member may leave a association at any time by written notice to the board or chairperson. The bylaws may let members make decisions on specifically listed matters without meeting, by vote, post, data communication, or technical means. Stadgarna kan allowa förbundsomröstning för vissa beslut, men de måste ange när den används och den får inte användas för vissa frågor utom val av styrelseledamöter. A member may demand in writing that the board arrange decision-making, and if that does not happen, the regional administrative agency may let the member organize voting at the association’s expense or order the board to do so.
