The Pharmaceutical Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1992

The Pharmaceutical Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 This Order may be cited as the Pharmaceutical Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 and shall come into operation on such day as the Head of the Department of Health and Social Services may by order appoint. The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly. In Article 63 of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 (which imposes a duty on Health and Social Services Boards to arrange for the provision of drugs and medicines etc. ordered by medical practitioners and dental practitioners), in paragraph (1)— in sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) the word “and” at the end of each sub-paragraph shall be omitted; and after sub-paragraph (b) there shall be inserted the following sub-paragraph— listed drugs and medicines and listed appliances which are ordered for those persons by a prescribed description of registered nurse, midwife or health visitor in pursuance of such functions; and fully exercised by SR 1997/182 1954 c. 33 (N.I.) 1972 NI 14
