About this statute

The listed Vienna Convention articles have the force of law, and references to the receiving State are to be read as references to the Republic. The President may make regulations extending diplomatic immunities and privileges to prescribed organisations, representatives, and officials, subject to prescribed conditions and limitations. This section repeals two named ordinances, but keeps existing privileges and immunities in place for covered organisations and persons until regulations are made, subject to consistency with the Vienna Convention. This Act starts on a day the President appoints by legislative instrument.
