About this statute

This section says the Act creates an African Union import levy of 0.2% on eligible goods imported from non-African Union member states. An African Union Import Levy of 0.2% is imposed on eligible imports from non-African Union Member States. The Ghana Revenue Authority must collect the Levy. The Authority must pay levy money into an account opened for that purpose by the Controller and Accountant-General. The Minister must authorise certain transfers of money to the African Union, and the Bank of Ghana must transfer the money when instructed by the Minister.
