About this statute
Certain people may apply to the Board for an auctioneer’s licence if they were covered before the Auction Sales Law, 1989 came into force and their licence was not renewed by that date. The Board must issue an auctioneer’s licence to a qualifying applicant when the stated conditions are met and the relevant fees are paid. A person entering auctioneer practice after this Act starts must comply with the Auction Sales Law, 1989. This section defines “Board” for this Act and says this Act is to be read together with the Auction Sales Law, 1989; if there is a conflict, this Act prevails.
