About this statute

A company registered under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) may establish a central securities depository. A person who wants to establish or operate a central securities depository must apply in writing to the Commission. The Commission must grant a written application if it is satisfied of the stated approval and public-interest conditions. The Commission may impose conditions when approving an application. A depository may change its rules only with the Commission’s prior approval, and it must apply in writing if it wants to amend them.
