Statute overview

About this statute

For enactments listed in the Schedule, Regulations must prescribe fees and charges for the Ministry, Department, or Agency named in the Schedule. Power to determine certain fees and charges is transferred to the Minister responsible for Finance. Agencies that charge fees must review their collection efficiency and fee relevance every year, and when they submit fee proposals to the Minister they must include justification and costing details. The Minister may cause an audit of a Ministry, Department, or Agency’s expenditure and revenue when it is for reviewing a fee or charge. The Minister may make regulations by legislative instrument for the matters listed in this section.
