The Commissioner must run a quarterly employment and vacancies survey, issue the required questionnaire, and persons in the business undertakings must complete and return it by the time the Commissioner sets.
Census and Statistics (Quarterly Survey of Employment and Vacancies) Order(L.N. 115 of 1994)(Cap. 316, section 11)[5 March 1982](Format changes—E.R. 6 of 2022) 1. (Repealed L.N. 115 of 1994) 2. Interpretation In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires— (E.R. 6 of 2022)business undertaking (商業經營) means an undertaking carrying on business in Hong Kong, including non-profit-making bodies and statutory bodies; (L.N. 115 of 1994)survey (調查) means the statistical survey referred to in paragraph 3;survey period (調查期) means the survey period specified under paragraph 6. 3. Quarterly survey of employment and vacancies The Commissioner shall carry out a statistical survey on the expiration of each survey period for business undertakings in Hong Kong to compile statistics relating to employment and vacancies in the survey period.(L.N. 115 of 1994) 4. Information required to be given For the purpose of the survey, the Commissioner shall issue a questionnaire with the matters specified in the Schedule for persons in the business undertakings to complete and return within the time the Commissioner specifies.(L.N. 115 of 1994) 5. Persons required to give information The persons required to give information under paragraph 4 are—(a) for a body corporate, a director, secretary or other person concerned in the management;(b) for a partnership, a partner;(c) in any other case, the proprietor.(L.N. 115 of 1994) 6.
