This Order restricts how units are used in documents under the Child Care Services Regulations, generally barring non-metric units and also barring documents that mix metric and non-metric units.
Metrication Amendments (Child Care Services Regulations) Order(Cap. 214, section 3)[1 April 1977](Format changes—E.R. 7 of 2020) 1. Citation This Order may be cited as the Metrication Amendments (Child Care Services Regulations) Order.(32 of 2000 s. 28; E.R. 7 of 2020) 2. General prohibition of use of non-metric units in documents Subject to paragraph 3, the use of non-metric units in documents submitted under the Child Care Services Regulations (Cap. 243 sub. leg. A) after 31 March 1977 is prohibited.(32 of 2000 s. 29; E.R. 7 of 2020) 3. Circumstances in which non-metric units to be used until 1 January 1980 (E.R. 7 of 2020)Non-metric units shall continue to be used in documents submitted under the Child Care Services Regulations (Cap. 243 sub. leg. A) until 1 January 1980 where such documents constitute amendments to, or otherwise relate to, documents submitted before 1 April 1977 in which non-metric units have been used, unless such last mentioned documents are resubmitted incorporating the use of metric units.(32 of 2000 s. 30; E.R. 7 of 2020) 4. Prohibition of the use of metric and non-metric units No document shall be submitted under the Child Care Services Regulations (Cap. 243 sub. leg. Amendment of specified regulations Without prejudice to the provisions of paragraph 2 or 3, but subject to paragraph 6 the provisions of the Child Care Services Regulations (Cap. 243 sub. leg. Saving In respect of any premises which, on 1 April 1977, are registered or are the subject of an application to be registered as a child care centre under the Child Care Services Regulations (Cap. 243 sub. leg. A) or in relation to which, before 1 April 1977, documents have been submitted under regulation 16 of the Child Care Services Regulations (Cap. 243 sub. leg.
