Statute overview

About this statute

These aviation regulations set rules for aircraft registration, marking, airworthiness, documents carried on flights, log books, safety limits, and pilot licensing. People who want to act as crew on aircraft registered in Saorstát Eireann must apply in writing to the Minister and pay the required fee. The Minister may grant, refuse, exempt, suspend, or cancel certain licences, and aircraft must not fly over the prohibited area below 6,000 feet. This provision sets air-navigation, aerodrome, and customs rules for aircraft, including collision-avoidance, landing and takeoff practices, and customs reporting for aircraft and goods.
