The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 7 (3) of the Health (General Practitioner Service and Alteration of Criteria for Eligibility) Act 2020 (No. 11 of 2020), with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform, hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Health (General Practitioner Service and Alteration of Criteria for Eligibility) Act 2020 (Section 4) (Commencement) Order 2023. 2. The 11th day of August 2023 is appointed as the day on which section 4 of the Health (General Practitioner Service and Alteration of Criteria for Eligibility) Act 2020 (No. 11 of 2020) shall come into operation. The Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform consents to the making of the foregoing Order. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 10 August, 2023. This Order gives effect to section 4 of the Health (General Practitioner Service and Alteration of Criteria for Eligibility) Act 2020 (No. 11 of 2020), from the 11th August 2023, to allow for the provision of a general practitioner medical and surgical service for children under 8 years of age.
