S.I. No. 395/1985 - Foreign Post Amendment (No. 25) Scheme, 1985. S.I. No. 395 of 1985. FOREIGN POST AMENDMENT (No. 25) SCHEME, 1985. AN POST, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 70 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 , hereby makes the following Scheme: 1. (i) This Scheme may be cited as the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 25) Scheme, 1985. (ii) This Scheme shall be operative with effect from the 1st day of January, 1984. 2. In this Scheme "the Principal Warrant" means the Foreign post Warrant, 1949 ( S.I. No. 267 of 1949 ). 3. The following Regulation is hereby substituted for Regulation 25 of the Principal Warrant [inserted by Regulation 8 of the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 13) Warrant, 1971 ( S.I. No. 198 of 1971 ) as amended by Regulation 7 of the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 16) Warrant, 1975 ( S.I. No. 317 of 1975 (2) ( (i) Every item shall be made up in a reasonably strong wrapper appropriate to its contents and so that no part of the contents can be removed without either breaking or tearing the wrapper or forcing two adhering surfaces apart or breaking a seal. ) (ii) or Regulation 17 (1a) (ii) of the Inland Post Warrant, 1939. (iii) Application for a permit shall be made to the local Head Post Office or, in the case of applicants in the Dublin Postal District, to the Controller, Dublin Postal District. (iv) Where a sender has branches at different addresses in the same Head Post Office District, or within the Dublin Postal District, application may be made for a single permit to cover all the said sender's branches in such District; in all other cases, each branch of a sender shall require a separate permit. (v) Each posting must consist of a minimum number of one hundred items. (vi) Postings must be made at least once every twelve months. (vii) Postings must be made at a designated Post Office. (xi) In the event of an item being found to contravene Post Office regulations, An Post shall have the right to terminate the permit without refund of the fee or part thereof.
