S.I. No. 200/1983 - Nature Reserve (The Raven) Establishment Order, 1983. S.I. No. 200 of 1983. NATURE RESERVE (THE RAVEN) ESTABLISHMENT ORDER, 1983. I, PADDY O'TOOLE, Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, after consultation with the Minister for Agriculture, the Minister for Transport and the Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland, being satisfied that the land specified in Article 2 of the following Order, being land to which section 15 of the Wildlife Act, 1976 (No. 39 of 1976), applies, includes a sand dune ecosystem which is of scientific interest and that the said ecosystem is likely to benefit if measures are taken for its protection and that it is desirable to establish the said land as a nature reserve and that the proper management of the land as a nature reserve would not be precluded by any interest of any other person in or over the land, for the purpose of conserving the said ecosystem do hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 15 of the said Act, as adapted by the Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1978 ), order as follows: 1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Nature Reserve (The Raven) Establishment Order, 1983. (2) This Order shall come into operation on the 31st day of July, 1983. 2. (1) It is hereby declared that the land specified in paragraph (2) of this Article shall constitute and there is hereby established a nature reserve. (2) The land referred to in paragraph (1) of this Article is all that part of the land known as The Raven situate in the townland of The Raven in the county of Wexford, the contiguous seashore and certain other land (other than any part thereof which forms part of a public road (if any) provided after the making of this Order), the area and extent of which are indicated on a map consisting of a red line superimposed on part of County Wexford Ordnance Survey Sheet No. 38 (Scale 6 Inches to 1 Mile) and prepared for the purposes of this Order by being thereon enclosed by the said red line, a copy of which map is contained in the Schedule to this Order. The order establishes part of the lands situate in the townland of The Raven, Co. Wexford, together with adjoining foreshore and seabed, as a nature reserve so that it can be managed in such a way as to ensure the conservation of the sand dune ecosystem which it constitutes.
