This Scheme changes telex call charges and states that it starts on 1 April 1984.
S.I. No. 82/1984 - Telex (Amendment) Scheme 1984. S.I. No. 82 of 1984. TELEX (AMENDMENT) SCHEME 1984. Bord Telecom Eireann in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 90 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983) hereby makes the following Scheme: 1. (1) This Scheme may be cited as the Telex (Amendment) Scheme, 1984. (2) The Telex Regulations, 1980 to 1983 and this Scheme may be cited together as the Telex Schemes 1980 to 1984. 2. This Scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1984. 3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Scheme. 4. The Telex Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 197 of 1980 ) are hereby amended by: ) The substitution of the following regulation for regulation 5 (1): "5 (1) Subject to the provisions of these Regulations the charge for each subscriber keyed call and for each call other than a subscriber keyed call made by a subscriber to an installation in the State, Northern Ireland, Great Britain, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands or other countries listed in the Schedule to these Regulations shall be the sums specified in the Schedule according to the description and duration of the call." ) The substitution of the following Schedule for the Schedule thereto (inserted by regulation 4 of the Telex (Amendment) Regulations, 1983 ( S.I. No. 74 of 1983 Regulations 5 and 29 PART I Charges for Calls other than Subscriber Keyed Calls Description of Call 1. A call between two installations connected with the same telex exchange. 18.3p for each three minutes or part of three minutes. For the first three minutes or part of three minutes For each minute or part of a minute after the first three minutes. 2. Any other call to an installation in the State or in Northern Ireland, the distance between the telex exchanges connected for the purpose of the call being in excess of 80kms. 36.6 12.2 3. A call to an installation in all other countries 480 160 PART II Charges for Subscriber Keyed Calls The charge for a subscriber keyed call shall be the sum of 18.3p in respect of each period or part of a period of time specified in the Table to this part of this Schedule which is appropriate to the call and during which the call continues, except in the case of 7. below where subscriber keyed calls are charged for on a per minute basis. Description of Call Charge per minute 1. A call between two installations connected with the same telex exchange 3 mins. 2. Any other call to an installation in the State or in Northern Ireland, the distance between the telex exchanges connected for the purpose of the call being in excess of 80 kilometres. 90 secs 3. A call to an installation in Great Britain, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. 45 secs. 4. A call to an installation in Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany (F.R.), Greece, Luxembourg, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Switzerland, (including Liechtenstein), or the Vatican City. 36.6 secs. 5. A call to an installation in Algeria, Austria, Azores, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechoslovakia, Egypt, Faröe Is., Finland, Germany (D.R.), Gibraltar, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Lebannon, Libya, Madeira, Malta, Morocco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Roumania, Spain, (including Balearic and Canary Is.), Sweden, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, USSR, or Yugoslavia. 21.96 secs. 6.
