This Order sets maximum goods and tonnage rates for Dundalk Harbour and revokes the 1983 Harbour Rates Order.
S.I. No. 4/1986 - Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1986. S.I. No. 4 of 1986. HARBOUR RATES (DUNDALK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1986. I, TED NEALON, Minister of State at the Department of Communications, in exercise of the powres conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1983 (No. 40 of 1983), and the Communications (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1984 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1984 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act hereby order as follows: 1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1986. (2) This Order, shall come into operation on the 13th day of January, 1986. 2. The maximum goods rates to be charged by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners shall, in lieu of the rates prescribed by Schedule "A" (as amended by the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1983 (S.I. No. 185 of 183)) to the Dundalk Harbour and Port Act, 1925 (No. 3 (Private) of 1925), be the rates set out in Part I of the Schedule to this Order. 3. The maximum tonnage rates to be charged by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners shall, in lieu of the rates prescribed by section 43 (as amended by the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1983) of the Dundalk Port and Harbour Act, 1925, be the rates set out in Part II of the Schedule to this Order. 4. For every vessel entering the harbour of Dundalk on every ton of either the net register tonnage of such vessel or half the gross tonnage of such vessel, whichever is the greater, the sum of 54p per ton. 2. For every vessel remaining in the harbour of Dundalk after the expiration of a consecutive period of six weeks on every ton of either the net register tonnage of such vessel or half the gross tonnage of such vessel, whichever is the greater, the sum of 19p per ton, per week or part thereof.
