GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LAW DEPARTMENT Legislative West Bengal Act V of 1998 THE WEST BENGAL APPROPRIATION (No. 2) ACT, 1998. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 9th July, 1998.] [9th July, 1998.] An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1999. WHEREAS it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1999; It is hereby enacted in the Forty-ninth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- 1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation (No. 2) Short title. Act, 1998. 2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal there Issue of may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 Rs. 19068,54,49,000 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate [inclusive of the sums out of the specified in column 3 of the Schedule to the West Bengal Appropriation ConSolidated Fund of (Vote-on-Account) Act, 1998] to the sum of rupees ninteen thousand West Bengal sixty-eight crores fifty-four lakhs forty-nine thousand towards defraying for the year the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year 1998-99. ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1999, in respect of the services and purposes specified in column 2 of the Schedule. 3.
