ASSAM ACT XXVIII OF 1972 y THE COURT FEES (ASSAM AMENDMENT) ACT, 1972 (Receivjd the assent of the Governor on the 8th December 1972) (Published in the Assam Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 13th December 1972] An Act further to amend the Court Fees Act, 1870 in its application to Assam Preamble. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Act VII of Court-fees Act, 1870, hereinafter called the princi- 18 pal Act, in its application to Assam, in the manner hereinafter appearing. It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-third Year of the Rc public of India as follows:— Short title, extent 1.(1) This Act may be called the Court and conuience- ment. Fees (Assam Amendment) Act, 1972, I (2) It extends to the whole of Assam. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by noti­ fication in the official Gazette, appoint.
