The Nagaland Town & Country Planning (Amendment) Act, 2000. (Act 8 of 2000) Received the assent of the Governor of Nagaland on 14/09/2000 and published in the Nagaland Gazette Extraordinary dated: 11 ' of October, 2000. To amend the Town and Country Planning Act, 1966 Be enacted in the Fifty-first year of the Republic of India. 1. Short title, extent and commencement. i. This Act may be called the Nagaland Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Act, 2000. ii. It extends to the whole ofNagaland iii. It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint. 2. Amendment of Sub Section (1) of Section 2 of the Principal Act: In Sub Section (I) of Section 2, the following substituted. i. "Authority" shall mean Development Authority, Nagaland constituted under section 8 A and shall also include authority as may be declared or constituted by the State Government under section 12 of the Principal Act.
