This Act sets up the Gujarat Contingency Fund, places it under the Secretary to the Government of Gujarat in the Finance Department on behalf of the Governor, limits use to unforeseen expenditure pending legislative approval, and lets the State Government make related rules.

An Act to provide for the establishment and maintenance of a Contingency Fund in the State of Gujarat. WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the establishment and maintenance of a Contingency Fund in the State of Gujarat ; AND WHEREAS the Legislature of the State, by clause (2) of Article 207 and clause (2) of Article 283 of the Constitution of India, has been empowered by law to establish such Fund ; It is hereby enacted in the Eleventh Year of the Republic of India as follows : Short title. 1. This Act may be called the Gujarat Contingency Fund Act, 1960. 2.
