ACT No. 7 OF 2017.* [20th January, 2017] AN ACT TO REPEAL CERTAIN ENACTMENTS OF THE STATE OF TELANGANA. Be it enacted by Legislature of the State of Telangana in the Sixty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. This Act may be called the Telangana Acts (Repealing) Short title. Act, 2016. 2. (1) The enactments specified in the Schedule-I and the Repeal of certain Schedule-ll are hereby repealed to the extent mentioned in Acts. column 5 thereof, in their application to the State of Telangana. (2) The enactments specified in the Schedule-III shall be omitted as specified therein. 3. The repeal of any enactment under section 2 shall not Savings. affect any other enactment in which the repealed enactment has been applied, incorporated or referred to; and this Act shall not affect the validity, invalidity, effect or consequences of anything already done or suffered, or any right, title, obligation or liability already acquired, accrued or incurred, or any remedy or proceeding in respect thereof, or any release or discharge of or from any debt, penalty, obligation, liability, claim or demand, or any indemnity already granted, or the proof of any past act or thing; * Received the assent of the Governor on the 19th January, 2017. 2 [Act No.7 of 2017] nor shall this affect any principle or rule of law, or established jurisdiction, form or course of pleading, practice or procedure, or existing privilege, restriction, exemption, office or appointment, notwithstanding that the same respectively may have been in any manner affirmed or recognised or derived by in or from any enactment hereby repealed; nor shall the repeal by this Act of any enactment revive or restore any jurisdiction, office, liability, right, title, privilege, restriction, exemption, practice, procedure or other matter or thing not now existing or in force; nor shall the repeal of the enactments by this Act affect the audit, examination, accounting, investigation, inquiry or any other action taken or to be taken in relation thereto by any authority and such audit, examination, accounting, investigation, inquiry or action could be taken, and, or continued as if the said enactments are not repealed by this Act.
