This Act validates the Bhim District Board’s extended term, lets it continue functioning until a new board is established, transfers assets and liabilities to the new board, and repeals the earlier 1955 order.
--- Section 1. Section 1.Short title --- This Act may be called the Bhim District Board Validation Act, 1955 --- Section 2. Section 2.Validation of the term of extension and working of the Board --- Notwithstanding anything contained in the Rajasthan District Boards Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act II of 1954) the term of the District Board, Bhim, as extended from the first day of January, 1955 to the 30th day of June, 1955 by means of Local Self Government Department Notification No. F.I (b) 1/LS.G./A/52, dated the 18th February, 1955 issued in exercise of the power conferred by Section 5 of the Ajmer Rural Boards Regulation, 1886 (VI of 1886) shall be valid and shall be deemed always to have been valid as if the District Board, Bhim were a District Board deemed to have been formed under the Rajasthan District Boards Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act II of 1954) and as if the term thereof were extended by the aforesaid notification in exercise of the power conferred by the first proviso to Section 26 of the said Act. --- Section 3. Section 3.Continuance of the Board --- Notwithstanding as aforesaid and notwithstanding the expiry of its term of office on the 30th day of June, 1955 the District Board, Bhim shall continue to perform the functions and discharge the duties of a District Board as if it were a District Board deemed to have been formed under the Rajasthan District Boards Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 11 of 1954) and as if its term were extended under the first proviso to Section 26 of the said Act from the first day of July, 1955, till the establishment of a new District Board under Section 5 of the said Act, for the district in which the Bhim area is situated --- Section 4. Section 4.Transfer of Assets and Liabilities --- Upon the establishment of a District Board under Section 5 of the Rajasthan District Boards Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act II of 1954) for the district in which Bhim area is situated, the District Board Bhim shall be deemed to have been dissolved and all its assets and liabilities shall thereupon be the assets and liabilities of the new District Board so established --- Section 5. Section 5.Repeal --- The Bhim District Board Vaidhkaran Adhyadesh, 1955 (No. 16 of 1955), is hereby repealed.
