GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LAW DEPARTMENT Legislative NOTIFICATION No. 1250-L.-31st July, 2008.—The following Act of the West Bengal Legislature, having been assented to by the Governor, is hereby published for general information:— West Bengal Act XV of 2008 THE WEST BENGAL APPROPRIATION (No. 2) ACT, 2008. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 31st July, 2008.] An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2009. WHEREAS it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of a part of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2009; It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:— Short title.(cid:9) 1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation (No. 2) Act, 2008. (cid:9) 2 THE KOLKATA GAZE11E, EXTRAORDINARY, JULY 31, 2008(cid:9) [PART III The West Bengal Appropriation (No. 2) Act, 2008. (Sections 2, 3.) Issue of Rs. 2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal, there may be 54456,89,28,000 paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of the Schedule out of the Consolidated amounting in the aggregate [inclusive of the sums specified in column 3 of the Fund of West Schedule to the West Bengal Appropriation (Vote on Account) Act, 2008] to the sum West Ben. Bengal for the Act I of 2008. year 2008-2009. of rupees fifty-four thousand four hundred fifty-six crore eighty-nine lakh and twenty-eight thousand towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2009, in respect of the services and purposes specified in column 2 of the Schedule. Appropriation. 3. The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2009.
