Statute overview

About this statute

Promoters must register real estate projects before selling or advertising them in a planning area, and real estate agents must register before facilitating sales. Allottees get rights to project information, possession, documents, and refund/compensation in some cases, but they must also make agreed payments and related charges and take possession within two months of the occupancy certificate. The provision sets deadlines, enforcement powers, funding and reporting duties for the Authority, and limits court interference.
