(2) It shall come i force with effect from the date of its publication inthe Of -al Gazette. 2. Inthe proviso to section 43 of the Manipur Liquor Prohibition Act, Amendment of 1991 (hereafter referred to as the Principal Act), - section 43. (i) for the words ‘five hundred rupees”, the words “fifteen thousand rupees” shall be substituted; (ii) for the words “‘one thousand rupees”, the words “‘thirty . thousand rupees” shall be substituted; and (iii) for the words “two thousand rupees”, the words “sixty thousand rupees” shall be substituted. 3. In sub-section (1) of section 44 of the Principal Act, for the words Amendment of “one thousand rupees”, the words “thirty thousand rupees” shall be section 44. substituted and for the words “five hundred rupees” in the proviso, the words “fifteen thousand rupees” shall be substituted. (b) in the proviso, the words “than three months and fine shall not be less” shall be inserted between the words “less” and “than”. (ii) in sub-clause (ii), for the words “two thousand rupees”, the words “sixty thousand rupees” shall be substituted and for the words “one thousand rupees” in the proviso, the words “thirty thousand rupees” shall be substituted. (iii) in sub-clause (iii), for the words “two thousand rupees”, the words “sixty thousand rupees” shall be substituted and fr the words “one thousand rupees” in the proviso, the words “thirty thousand rupees” shall be substituted.
