GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LAW DEPARTMENT Legislative West Bengal Act II of 1996 THE WEST BENGAL APPROPRIATION ACT, 1996. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 18th March, 1996.] [18th March, 1996.] An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums front and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1996. WHEREAS it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1996; It is hereby enacted in the Forty-seventh Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- 1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation Short title. Act, 1996. 2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal there Issue of Rs. may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 9,94,63,77,999 out of the of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees nine Consolidated hundred ninety-four crores sixty-three lakhs seventy-seven thousand nine Fund of West Bengal for the hundred and ninety-nine towards defraying the several charges which year 1995-96. will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1996, in respect of the services and purposes specified in column 2 of the Schedule. 3. The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Appropria- Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be appropriated for eon. the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day_of March, 1996. 37 The West Bengal Appropriation Act, 1996.
