Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Seventieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. This Act may be called the Haryana Service of Engineers, Group A, Public Health Short title. Engineering Department (Amendment) Act, 2019. 2. For sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 1 of the Haryana Service of Engineers, Group A, Amendment of Public Health Engineering Department Act, 2009 (hereinafter called the principal Act), the section 1 of Haryana Act 9 of following sub-sections shall be substituted, namely:- 2009. “(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 20th March, 2009. (3) It shall apply to the persons who are members of the Service and have been appointed on or after the 20th March, 2009.”. 3. In sub-section (3) of section 5 of the principal Act, for the words, sign and figures Amendment of “1st day of November, 1966”, the words, sign and figures “the 20th March, 2009” shall be section 5 of Haryana Act 9 of substituted. 2009. 4. In sub-section (1) of section 9 of the principal Act,- Amendment of section 9 of (i) in the first proviso, for the sign “:” existing at the end, the sign “.” shall be Haryana Act 9 of substituted; and 2009.
