The West Bengal Appropriation Act, 1956
This Act authorizes payment and appropriation of specified sums from the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the year ending 31 March 1957.
West Bengal Act VIII of 1956 THE WE ST BENGAL APPROPRIATION ACT, 1956 [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was Brst published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 29th March, 1956.] [29th March, 1956.] An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty- first day of March, 1957. WHEREAS it is expedient to authorise payment and appro- priation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1957; It is hereby enacted in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- 1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropria- Short title. tion Act, 1956. 2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Issue of Bengal there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding Rupees 108,18, those specified in column 3 of the Schedule amounting in the 83,001 out aggregate to the sum of rupees one hundred and eight crores, of the Con- eighteen lakhs, eighty-three thousand and one towards solidated defraying the several charges which will come in course of Fund of West payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of Bengal for March, 1957, in respect of the services specified in column 2 the year of the Schedule. 1956-57. 3.
