The Assam Taxation (on specified Lands) (Amendment) Act, 2016
This Act amends two tax-related amounts in the Assam Taxation (On Specified Lands) Act, 1990, changing them to fifteen paise, and it comes into force at once.

Preamble. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Taxation (On Assam Act XII Specified Lands) Act, 1990, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in of1990 the manner hereinafterappearing; It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Shorttitle, 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Taxation (On Specified Lands) extentand (Amendment) Act, 2016. commence ment. (2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act. (3) It shall come into force at once. Amendment 2. In the principal Act, in section 5, in clause (a), in sub-clause (ii), for the ofsection S. words, "twenty five paise", the words "fifteenpaise" shall be substituted. Amendment 3. In the principal Act, in section 6A, for the figure and word, "25 paise", the ofsection 6A. words" fifteen paise" shall besubstituted. S.M.
