About this statute

This provision sets up the real estate registration framework and key duties for promoters and real estate agents. Promoters must hand over title and possession, buy required insurance, and pay compensation or refunds where required; allottees must make payments, take possession on time, and join conveyance/association steps; the Authority and Tribunal have regulatory and appellate powers. An appeal to the High Court must be filed within 60 days of the Appellate Tribunal’s decision or order, and late filing is allowed only if the High Court is satisfied there was sufficient cause. Appeals against consent orders of the Appellate Tribunal are barred.
