Statute overview

About this statute

This part lists the Code of Comunidades and several amendments, then sets rules for how comunidades are governed, represented, fined, and managed. The comunidades must hold regular meetings, follow quorum and notice rules, and their committee and officers have defined powers, duties, fees, and penalties. The treasurer and key-holders must handle comunidade funds through the safe, make only authorized payments, and follow reporting and deposit deadlines. The Government must appoint a custodian for the concerned Comunidade, and that custodian takes over the managing committee’s powers and duties. This part sets deadlines, procedures, charges, and penalties for comunidad clerks, administrators, and auction/redemption processes.
