The Nagaland Salaries allowances and other facilities of the Chief Minister other Ministers, Speaker, Leader of Opposition, Deputy Speaker, Parliamentary Secretaries and other member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and pension for ex-members (1"AmendmentAct 2010 (Act No. 7 of 2010) Received the assent of Governor of Nagaland on 30/07/2010. To amend the Nagaland Salaries, allowances and other facilities of the Chief Minister, other Ministers, Speaker, Leader of opposition, Deputy Speaker, Parliamentary Secretaries and other members of theNagaland LegislativeA ssembly and pension for Ex-Member, Act 2005. ShiiT itle, and commencement: 1. 1. This Act may be called the Nagaland Salaries, allowances and other facilities of the Chief Minister other Ministers, Speaker, Leader of opposition, Deputy Speaker, Parliamentary Secretaries and other members of the Nagaland legislative Assembly and pension for Ex-Member (first Amendment) Act, 2010. Insertion of a new clause to section 1 Afterthe existing section 1 clause 1-3 another clause shall be inserted, namely: (4) The Amendment shall have effect fiomthe date of Governor gives his assent to the bill. Insertion of new sub-clause to clause 1o f section 8. 2. After the existing clause 1 of section 8, the following subclauses shall be inserted: (a) An amount not exceeding amaximum of Rs. 1 lakh will be granted to the members subject to the seriousness of the case of the patient. @) An amount not exceeding Rs. 25,0001- will be granted to the deceased family member of anEx-Member. (c) An amount of&. 15,0001- will be grantedincase of any unfortunate natural calamities. Salary, allowances and other facilities. 3. (1) The salary, allowances and other facilities of the Chief Minister, other Ministers, Speaker, Leader of opposition, Deputy Speaker, Parliamentary Secretaries and other members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly shall be as shown in Schedule 1. Insert (1) (a):- (1) (a). Amendment of Section 9 4. For the Existing section 9 of the Principal Actthe following shall be substituted. Periodic review of salaries, allowances, other facilities and pension. 9. (1) The House Committee shall initiate the periodical review for studying the structure of pay and facilities provided to the Members in this Act to make suitable recommendation. (2) All the Recommendations and reports of the House Committee of the NagalandMairs Dep-ent for consideration. (3) The Recommendation ofthe House Committee shall be laid before the LegislativeA ssembly and its applicability shall be effective only after being passed by theNagaland Legislativehsembly.
