Art. 1 (Finalita). 1. La presente legge riconosce l'apicoltura come attività di interesse nazionale utile per la conservazione dell'ambiente naturale, dell'ecosistema e dell'agricoltura in generale ed è finalizzata a garantire l'impollinazione naturale e la biodiversità di specie apistiche, con particolare riferimento alla salvaguardia della razza di ape italiana (Apis mellifera ligustica Spinola) e delle popolazioni di api autoctone tipiche o delle zone di confine. ((2. Le regioni e le province autonome di Trento e di Bolzano, in conformità ai rispettivi statuti e alle relative norme di attuazione, provvedono alle finalità della presente legge))
