Statute overview

About this statute

This regulation applies to public and private activities within the scope of the cited workplace-safety law, and medical-examination data may be processed only for workplace hygiene and safety purposes. The employer must keep an exposure register and related health records for workers exposed to cancer-causing or mutagenic agents, and must share or transfer them to workers and authorities in specified situations. The competent doctor must carry out workplace health-surveillance tasks, keep health/risk records, inform workers, and coordinate with the employer on safety measures. Public bodies may process sensitive data only when a law expressly authorizes it and specifies the data types, operations, and public-interest purposes; otherwise additional identification and publication steps apply. A permanent advisory commission on accident prevention and workplace hygiene is set up at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
