This preamble states that the decree on opening the hunting season is issued by the Director General of the Interior and refers to prior hunting-law provisions and regulations. Hunting opens on Thursday, 27 August, with several species-specific restrictions and start dates. In snow, hunting is prohibited in open plains; it remains allowed in woods and in certain waterside areas, only for waterfowl and marsh game, and the Government keeps a reserved power to prohibit hunting completely in snowy conditions. Plain hunting is closed from 15 December, with exceptions for waterfowl, marsh game, and migratory birds. Hunting of migratory birds and water/marsh game must be carried out within the limits and rules set by articles 21 to 24 of the referenced 25 August 1893 regulation.

Hunting opens on Thursday, 27 August, with several species-specific restrictions and start dates.

Art. 1 er . L'ouverture de la chasse est fixée au jeudi, 27 août prochain, sauf les exceptions et restrictions suivantes: a) la chasse à l'aide du chien courant n'est, permise qu'à partir du 15 septembre inclusivement; b) la chasse à la perdrix est fermée après le 31 octobre; c) la chasse à la poule du coq des bouleaux, de même que celle au faon de chevreuil restent interdites; d) la chasse à la chevrette est permise à partir du 16 octobre jusqu'au 14 décembre inclusivement; e) la chasse au faisan (poule et coq) n'est ouverte qu'à partir du 1 er octobre inclusivement. ​

En temps de neige, la chasse est interdite en plaine, quelle que soit la quantité de neige qui recouvre la terre. - Pendant ce temps, la chasse reste autorisée dans les bois; de même elle reste autorisée le long des cours d'eau, sur les fleuves, dans les marais et sur les étangs, mais uniquement au gibier d'eau et de marais, le tout sans préjudice du droit réservé au Gouvernement par l'art. 13 de la loi sur la chasse, d'interdire complètement la chasse en temps de neige. ​
