Statute overview
About this statute
This preamble introduces an order fixing Luxembourg tax shares for international telegraph and telephone services. This article sets telegram tax rates and minimum charges, and lets the postal and telegraph administration introduce reduced-rate telegram-letter service with countries that accept it. The Luxembourg share of the tax unit for European international telephone exchanges is set at 0.50 gold francs, reduced to 0.40 gold francs for exchanges with the Netherlands. The postal and telegraph administration sets, from time to time, the levy rate in Luxembourg currency for taxes stated in gold currency, based on exchange rates. This article says the present order will be published in the Mémorial and replaces the order of 28 September 1937.
