About this statute

The Finance Department is authorized to pay, when needed, part of the wages or salaries due to the families of absent officials, employees, and workers. Le Département des Finances peut, si besoin, avancer des salaires à certaines familles et à certains employés ou ouvriers dans les cas prévus. The allocation amount must be proportional to the number of people the beneficiary must support, cannot exceed 1,500 francs per month, and may be refused or reduced if the beneficiaries have other resources to meet their needs. L’État recouvre les sommes avancées auprès des personnes pour la décharge desquelles elles ont été payées, selon les mêmes formes et privilèges que les impôts directs. Les demandes en paiement doivent être adressées au Département des Finances, qui les instruit; le paiement est fait par le Service d'Emission de l'Etat sur ordonnances du Conseiller des Finances, après liquidation par la Chambre des comptes.
