Statute overview

About this statute

This is the preamble to a Grand-Ducal order revising the law on agricultural associations. Certain agricultural associations may be formed for listed common agricultural purposes, may include a minority of non-agricultural members, and gain legal personality upon publication in the Mémorial. Operations of agricultural associations formed under this order are not treated as acts of commerce. An association must be formed by notarial deed or private deed, in duplicate and registered, and the required documents must be deposited with the commune secretariat within 15 days; the deposit must also be mentioned in the Mémorial. An association must have at least five persons; dissolution can be ordered by the justice of the peace on request after six months below that minimum; members’ shares are non-transferable except for succession under Article 13.
