Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble states the decree’s title and cites the legal basis and prior related order; it does not set an operative rule on its own. Les titres luxembourgeois visés doivent être vérifiés quant à leur bonne provenance, selon un délai fixé par le ministre des Finances. A verification procedure leads to an identification certificate, but it is issued only if the required proof is provided; the Finance Minister may waive some proof requirements in limited cases. Penalties from article 32 apply to anyone who, in breach of article 1(3), exercises rights attached to unverified titles or helps exercise those rights. For certain bearer securities created in Luxembourg by the State, a commune, or a private company, a reclamation claim becomes inadmissible after 3 months from the first day of the month after this order enters into force, unless the dispossessed owner made the required notifications and publications in time.
