This is the preamble to a 22 December 1854 law about combining the office of state receiver with the office of commune or public establishment receiver. L’Administrateur-général du service concerné peut toujours autoriser le cumul des fonctions de receveur de l’État avec celles de receveur de commune ou d’établissement public. From 1 January 1855, state receivers get a 2.5% commission on certain collections, and commune receivers get a commission set by communal administrations.
