Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble states the law’s title and formal enactment. Some mining damage does not give a right to compensation, but a landowner may claim compensation for loss in property value if the threat prevents building, unless the project is only to obtain that compensation. L’État or the concessionnaire may expropriate buildings or immovable property threatened by underground mining, if it is for public utility.
