About this statute

The law authorizes the Government to issue a statute for railway workers’ employment, work, pay, and retirement conditions. The Government may issue a grand-ducal regulation setting employment, work, pay, and retirement conditions for railway workers and employees. The surplus costs are to be recovered through surcharges on travellers and freight transport, except on small-section lines. The Government may grant subsidies to operators of small-section networks to replace the surcharges mentioned in the previous article. Le Gouvernement peut accorder sans délai une avance de 750 francs par personne ou par ménage à certains personnels et retraités résidant au Grand-Duché, puis les exploitants la récupèrent par retenues périodiques limitées à l’excédent créé par le nouveau statut.
