Statute overview

About this statute

This is the preamble and chapter list of a Luxembourg law from 25 February 1967. This provision creates the honorary title of «Résistant» and says it may be granted to qualifying Luxembourg nationals who committed an act of resistance against the enemy during the 1940–1945 war. Certain additional labels will be added to the title “Résistant” for categories of persons to be set by grand-ducal regulation. Certain Luxembourg nationals born in 1920 to 1927 who were forcibly enlisted during World War II are recognized as victims of Nazism, with an exception for people excluded from war-damage compensation under Article 12 of the 1950 law. Le statut de pupille de la Nation est attribué à certains enfants de Luxembourgeois remplissant les conditions prévues et liés à un décès ou décès présumé pendant le service militaire allemand durant la guerre 1940-1945.
