Statute overview

About this statute

This law creates a major road network and a roads fund, and organizes the law into sections on road status, implementation, penalties, the fund, and expropriation. The Government is authorized to establish a major communication road, subject to the general program in Article 6 and plans to be approved by the Grand-Duc under Article 9. This road may be established, changed, and operated only by the State, and traffic on it is governed by special public-administration regulations. La nouvelle voirie doit être implantée, dans la mesure du possible, à l’écart des centres d’habitation, avec des aménagements reliant les voies d’accès et de départ. This article bans installations and constructions on the road domain, limits new access points to those arranged by the State, and restricts other works to at least 25 metres from the public domain boundary.
