Statute overview

About this statute

This is the preamble to a Luxembourg law on supplying medicines to the public; it does not state an operative rule. This article defines “médicament” for this law. Pharmacists with an open-to-the-public pharmacy are allowed to prepare medicines. Medicines may be delivered to the public only through pharmacies. Certain medication stores may be set up in clinics, hospitals, and other care facilities, but they may only serve patients of those facilities. Veterinarians may also hold stocks of certain medicines for animals under their care, and the medicine list is set by joint ministerial regulation.
