Statute overview

About this statute

This provision is the preamble to the law and records its title and formal enactment steps. Certain gifts or testamentary dispositions to the State and other public-law bodies need grand-ducal authorization, unless they are movable gifts worth 500,000 francs or less. Donations or legacies to a nonprofit association are effective only if authorized by grand-ducal order, except for movable donations worth 500,000 francs or less. Le Fonds national de solidarité peut recevoir des dons et legs, sous réserve de l'article 910 du code civil. This article repeals three earlier legal instruments.
