Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble identifies the law and records the formal assent and promulgation formula. This article creates a special environmental protection fund and places it under the authority of the minister responsible for environmental protection. The fund covers certain expenses for carrying out the works covered by the law, within the limits of Article 4. The fund is financed by annual budget allocations and loan proceeds. The government may borrow for the State within limits set by budget law or a special law, and a grand-ducal regulation sets loan terms; it may also exempt loan interest from present and future taxes. The minister may charge the fund with certain environmental project subsidies and expense coverage, subject to listed project types and percentage caps.
