For the 13 June 2004 European elections, the 18 February 2003 electoral law applies to nationals of states that become EU members on 1 May 2004, subject to the following rules. To vote in the 13 June 2004 European elections, the persons covered by Article 1 must meet age, civil-rights, and residence requirements, with one residence-condition exception for certain voters.
